I decided to do just a short local ride on the Colnago today, along with some bits of gardening, before the heat of the afternoon. Remarkably it went from 12C at 8am to 37C by 4pm, which even for here is quite impressive. Anyway, as expected, the cool start brought crystal-clear air and fantastic blue skies, so a lot of photos were taken!
Not many words today, as there was nothing complicated about my ride on the lovely Colnago: out on the main road to Recoubeau, then a left turn to pass the old station on the line to Châtillon, then the return via St Roman. Enough distance and gentle climbing to represent a slight increase in both to help along my rehab. All most delightful, even more so now that most of the holiday-makers have left the roads to me.
